FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
about our web site directory

SeacaostNH offers free listings to qualified web sites that emanate from our region. Just fill out our handy registration form and submit your web site to our directory today. Got questions? Here are a few basic answers. If you have more questions, just email us using the link at the very bottom of this web page.

What web sites do you include?
Any legitimate group, organization, company can register. We don’t include personal or family web pages unless your pages offer unique information about our region. We don’t accept web sites with adult-oriented content or ones that link to those sites. We prefer sites that do not include advertising pop-ups. We are a regional web site, so all sites must be run by people from this region.

What is the SeacoastNH region?
Any town in or near coastly New Hampshire, South Coastal Maine (below Portland) and North Shore, Massachusetts. Some key lcoations beyond that range may be included if they have special impact on the Seacoast region.

Is this listing really free?
Totally free. You can "enhance" your listing in a number of ways -- add a picture, expland the number of words, add a color highlight. But the basic listing is free for as long as you list it.

How can I update my listing?
Just send us an email with the specific change listed, and be sure to indicate your exact title. For the best action, simply go to your listing, press the MORE INFO button, and cut and paste the URL that appears at the top of the page.

(JDR will add more content here tomorrow.)

Enhance Your Seacoast Listing Print Email

Your basic listing is free. But why not attract more attention and offer readers more information about your group or company with an enhanced listing? It’s easy and affordable.

Author LecturesYOU ASKED FOR IT!
The author unchained takes to the podium.  Winner of two awards for history writing and now uathor of 11 books, SeacoastNH.com editor and publisher J. Dennis Robinson lectures frequently. He's been called "the funniest history lecturer in New Hampshire." Maybe that's because people expect history to be dry stuff, but Robinson says -- no way. "History is about people first, and people are pretty darn funny," he says. " Click to see latest talks below.

IN A CLAMSHELL:

Welcome to the independent web portal for the historic Seacoast of New Hampshire and South Coast Maine region. This is "America's Smallest Seacoast"(sm) – just 17 miles long, but big in history, in culture and in spirit. Our Web portal reaches over 1.2 million unique readers annually with 7,000 archived web pages about the greater Portsmouth, New Hampshire region, including over 25 towns. New Hampshire was born here in 1623 and we never forget our origins, or lose our Yankee sense of perspective. When you find yourself at sea in a crazy world – anchor here a while in the safe harbor of an old New England port. Here, have some chowder. We’ve got a story or two to tell.

youareheremapWE ARE HERE

There are those we don’t believe New Hampshire even has a Seacoast. They are not far wrong. But like the person who owns a single diamond, we feel especially fortunate. We’ve heard it said that there are just two kinds of people in this world – those lucky enough to live near our little coastline, and those smart enough to visit. So if you are not among the former group, please fill your purses and wallets with legal tender and stop by. Or if you live too far away to afford the fuel, you are welcome to click liberally through these fine pages. Looking out from the shore here on a good day, we can see the great state of Maine to our left and Massachusetts to our right. The piece that holds them together – or some say keeps them safely apart – is all us.
