Warm Weather is Nightmare for Icemare
See snowfall two weeks later

Passing through Market Square on Portsmouth First Night 2000 we paused to admire this Pro Portsmouth ice sculpture in front of the North Church. Temperature was comfortably in the 20s for the millennium bash with no snow in sight.

Awe... two days later the balmy January weather was in the 60s. The same warm front that had been killing the skiing industry melted our noble steed into a little poodle. You know what they say about New England weather!
