The Thom Hindle Collection has grown, over the years, to over 100,000 images from more than 30 photographers. While his collection covers New England and beyond, Hindle's strongest connection is to Dover. Recently appointed the city's "Citizen of the Year," he is president of Dover's Historical Society and a trustee of the Woodman Institute.
From his studio, Hindle preserves and restores photographs and negatives. He is constantly seeking out undiscovered images, making them available to the public. He has brought the history of Dover alive through lectures and slide shows, tours, books, calendars, periodical and tinted prints.
