Looking like an ocean-going motel, the USS Constitution resided for 15 years at the naval shipyard in Kittery, ME as a receiving ship. This view from the 1890s was taken from across the Piscataqua in Portsmouth, NH. A postcard of this image was found at the Portsmouth Public Library.
