The only Hollywood film about John Paul Jones was heavily promoted as an epic of American history. Too bad many of the scenes are not historically accurate, but it's all we have. We recently expanded our collection of movie trivia from the film with 16 original publicity stills from the film staring Robert Stack. As part of our mission to provide more JPJ trivia than you could ever want - we include the entire collection of black and white films by Warner Brothers. Despite errors in history, the film offers a reasonably accurate timeline of Jones' life and a vigorous depiction of the horrific battle between the Bonhomme Richard and HMS Serapis. - JDR
