Tourists who complain about one-way traffic in the city’s downtown should see it back in 1958. This vintage photo shows two-way traffic on State Street with parking on both sides. A note on the photo reads: "Accidents are continually occurring that the police are not aware of … caused by motorists unknown who conveniently do not leave their calling card."
