Wentworth-by-the-Sea New Castle, NH 1920s
Cover of the large 1920s brochure for Wentworth-by-the-Sea on green linen paper assumed to be from the management era of Harry Beckwith. He ran the hotel from the demise if the Frank Jones managers peropd until the Smiths purchased it in 1946. Beckwith modernized the hotel and added many features including "The Ship", private bathrooms, an elaborate sprkinler system and a movie theater. The embossed logo on the front of this rarely seen booklet shows a woman riding a dolphin, adapted from the story that the original Wentworth Inn was called "Ye Dophin Inn."
